The Land of Painted Caves by Jean M. Auel

As I was rebuilding my store, I was caught completely be surprise when I stumbled across an entry to pre-order the up-coming (and presumably concluding) sixth book in the Earth’s Children series that has followed the extraordinary woman, Ayla, from The Clan of the Cave Bear on through to The Shelters of Stone. It’s been nine years since that fifth book, and I had pretty much lost hope that we’d see this sixth installment.

So, the title of the new book is The Land of Painted Caves. It’s scheduled to be released on March 29, 2011, but you can pre-order it now. I put in my order just as soon as I saw it. After all, it’s been over 30 years since the first book…I have to see how this saga ends.
