If we don’t kill ourselves off, or totally deplete our planet, then we have only about 2+ billion years to find a way to continue on with our species. That’s much shorter than is often thought, so we clearly must adjust our timetables for the need to develop a means to not only live outside our solar system, but our galaxy.
Read more...In forums and in fan fiction you find a significant amount of words devoted to the subject of Terminator’s John and Cameron and their unique relationship. It is one of those fun polarizing issues that sparks a lot of fan interest. Everyone seems to have an opinion about it… including me.
Read more...On the surface it seems sort of silly to devote so many words to whether or not a fictional robot can feel emotion. Thing is, this fiction close enough to coming reality that we have to ask the questions about AI thought, and what we will do about it.
