Caryatid – My Favorite Sculpture

Great art can affect you. It touches you. You can see the work thousands of times, and you still feel the power of the message. More importantly, you are drawn into the work and can feel yourself taking the place of the subject. For me, the best example of a great sculpture is Rodin’s image of a pathetic, yet heroic, Caryatid.
