A few days ago I installed the current beta release for WordPress 3.0 (WP3), which is scheduled for general release in the next few weeks. I wanted to see what the “gotchas” might be as well as get a head start on getting my themes up to snuff. Here are some of my impressions with getting things up and running.

TV Execs, Don’t Be Afraid of TV Couples Coupling

Some show has a couple with chemistry…except they aren’t a couple. Their non-couple status is teased season after season. Why? Because we have to remember what happened to Moonlighting. It’s time we give it a rest. I don’t think I’m alone in feeling that the Moonlighting excuse has out-lived its warranty period.

Armchair Script Doc: Deadly Honeymoon

We watch a movie featuring one of our favorite actors and it simply doesn’t quite work. Are We Losing Fewer?

I can understand the occasional misuse, but I’m seeing it throughout the Internet and in some magazines and newspaper articles as well as advertisements. We may have transitioned from misuse of “less” being bad grammar into the realm of it being a change of word use.

What’s So Special About UConn? Nothing, Really.

The University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball team’s record now stands at 74-0 double-digit wins and counting. The amazing thing is that this sort of dominance isn’t unusual for the Huskies. It makes you wonder: factoring the talent, the tactics, the defenses, what’s so special about UConn? The truth is, not that much.
