Read more...Since I’ve been getting back into the photo thing, I’ve had a hankering to return to my primary area of photographic expertise: sports. I’m not planning on going pro again (my body wouldn’t take it), but I thought it would be a fun activity. Since I have a high school close-by, I inquired as to what the hoops were that I’d need to jump through.
Read more...I had to wait overnight before I was able to do some real-world tests with my new camera body. I took about 20 minutes to wander around my backyard and shot about 40 pictures. All-in-all, I think it was a pretty good introductory session. Here are some of the photos so you can see for yourself.

Read more...Well, today I went out to several camera stores and gave all the various camera bodies I was thinking about a test drive. Based on price and feel, there really was no choice at all. Everything pointed to the Nikon D80.

I think making something a “resolution” puts way too much pressure on what are mostly just wishes, hopes, and yes, sometimes goals. So, this is my “aiming for” list.
