Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth
Normally I wouldn’t put an item up that wasn’t still easily gotten, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t suggest to any Wonder Woman fan that they buy “Spirit of Truth” while there are still copies to be had.
Paul Dini’s story here is sublime: Wonder Woman has a crisis of confidence. But what truly makes this book special is the art of Alex Ross. There is a reverence and compassion for the character that you don’t usually get to see in comic book superheroes. For me, his interpretation (drawing inspiration from his model, Rhonda Hampton) is at least an equal to what Lynda Carter did in the 70s. This Wonder Woman seems every bit the hero and not just a woman with some powers.
Definately a must-have.
