Please, Correct Your Aspect Ratio

OK, this is driving me nuts. People, attend to your aspect ratios. I’m sick to death of 16:9 (widescreen) videos being scrunched to 4:3 (normal). Though it happens a little less frequently, stretching 4:3 vids to fit 16:9 is just as awful. more…

Nifty Stuff…Serenity DVD

While the DVD doesn’t release until December 20, 2005, I already know that I strongly recommend this title. Born from the mind of Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel), Serenity is a continuation of the adventures begun on the too-soon-cancelled show, Firefly. This is something that’s just killing me…I’m having a devil of a time finding DVD+RW discs that my recorder and players are happy with. Time was that NameBrand-M discs worked like a dream. Now I get disc errors almost all the time when recording. more…
