The Connor Wars F0312 – “In Memory of Qin Shi Huang”

The Connor Wars - logo 3Here is the twelfth installment of Terminator – The Sarah Connor Chronicles fanfic that picks up where the second season finale left off. As I mentioned before, I was so enthusiastic about the possibilities presented when the season ended that I just had to keep it going regardless of what happens with the suits at FOX.

The first thing you’ll probably notice is that I changed the name of the series to Terminator: The Connor Wars. I think that more accurately conveys what this project will cover as well as it being a lot easier to say.

As I disclaim on the title page, this is just meant to be a bit of fannish fun in the long spirit of the various fan communities. I’m not intending to step on any toes.

In Memory of Qin Shi Huang

John returns to Cameron’s birthplace…er, built-place. Of course, since Skynet is currently using it, there might be problems. Those problems won’t be from Brandi, however, who is engaging in her own special kind of hijinx.

To be fair, hinjinx are ensuing not only in the future, but also in Sarah’s world. Mixing the tech of the future with the reality of the present makes the Connor Cadre a bit unsettled.

(With the size it is, and if it didn’t do it automagically, the PDF seems to read easier if you zoom to 66.7% and then scroll the text horizontally so it’s centered.)

Next episode: F0313 – “Sharper Than a Terminator’s Truth”

Oh, and before I get emails about this. The PDF file I generated has the setting to allow people to print out the script turned off. If you are having trouble with the plug-in, click here.

  1. Another highly enjoyable episode. Weaver got her own voice over! Strangely that worked really well in cementing her as a main team player in the story and not just a side character.

I think I like where you are leading with this, especially with that Fresno woman if she is who I think she is :)

  2. I’ve definitely thought of Weaver as one of the mains of S3. She’s never there for background. If she’s there, she’s there with a purpose…her purpose.

One of the tragedies of writing something this involved, with established characters that people are passionate about, is that I’m bound to disappoint some (or maybe a lot of) people along the way. Everyone comes in with their own preconceptions (me included), and they don’t always pan out the way you might expect (and yeah, that does go for me as well…I’m just the writer after all, it’s not like I’m in charge or anything). My hope is that the story will be able to survive the reveals and developments to come based on the strength of the foundation that’s been built. I like to think it’ll be worth it.
